Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, across the Brazos Valley, Saturday afternoon and evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
Drivers in Bryan may notice a large structure in transit Friday.
Movers will transport a portable school building from Navarro Elementary School to Ben Milam Elementary. The portable school buildings are 16-feet tall, 30-feet wide, and 60-feet long.
This move will begin on the Highway 6 west frontage road traveling north, against traffic, to Texas Avenue. It will then go on to 29th Street, to Main Street, to Grosbeck and finally to Ben Milam.
Three motorcycle Bryan police officers will escort the move and direct
traffic. This will begin at 6:00am and the movers will be off Texas
Avenue by 7:00am.
This move is being done by Larry Jollisant and has been approved by the Texas Department of Transportation and the City of Bryan.
