WACO, Texas -- The man sought in the gasoline-related burning of three women in Waco, including his mother, surrendered early Friday.
Investigators say 23-year-old Ishmael Reuben Lopez splashed the women with gasoline and set fire to them early Wednesday, then fled.
A warrant charges Lopez with aggravated assault and arson.
Lopez and his mother had argued and he allegedly pulled a knife on her.
His mother, an aunt and another woman remain hospitalized at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
His 52-year-old mother, Adela Lopez, is listed in serious condition. His 44-year-old aunt, Diann Gonzales, is critical. A hospital spokeswoman had no condition available on 43-year-old Lydia Herrera.
The Waco Tribune-Herald reports Lopez also suffered burns and was treated at a Waco hospital before being jailed.
