More than 300 South Texas residents are evacuated after heavy rain overnight.

Hundreds of roads are closed and emergency officials have been busy making water rescues.

At least 50 people were pulled to safety, including some from rooftops by helicopter during heavy showers around the Alamo City.

Some counties surrounding San Antonio saw up to 17 inches of rain.

In Knippa, Texas, an Amtrack train was stranded after water covered the tracks.
