HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police say a pregnant woman was killed and her husband and infant daughter were injured early when their pickup truck was struck by a vehicle involved in a street race.

Doctor's saved the woman's baby, and her husband and 11-month-old daughter were expected to survive. The pregnant woman's name wasn't released.

Police say a Camaro and another vehicle were racing yesterday morning when the Camaro struck the back of the pickup, causing it to flip over and skid along a median.

Police say the driver of the Camaro sustained minor injuries and remains in custody with intoxication manslaughter charges pending against him. The driver of the other vehicle fled in what police described as a silver-colored vehicle.
