Highway 6 Lane Opening This Week
On Friday, March 12th, Texas Department of Transportation's contractor is expecting to open the rest of the newly constructed northbound main lanes of SH 6 from FM 2154 to the Navasota River.

On Friday, March 12th, Texas Department of Transportation's contractor is expecting to open the rest of the newly constructed northbound main lanes of SH 6 from FM 2154 to the Navasota River. There will be lane closures in this area in order to perform work necessary for the opening.

This traffic switch is part of the $100.3 million dollar widening project
that is contracted to T.J. Lambrecht Construction Company of Joliet,
Illinois. This entire project is expected to be complete in the summer of
2010. TxDOT and its contractor appreciate your patience during this ongoing construction.
