Some name changes are on the way for the Texas A&M Agriculture Program.

The System's Board of Regents met early Friday and approved name changes for both the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station and the Texas Cooperative Extension.

In the future, the two will go by the titles of the Texas AgriLife Research, and the Texas AgriLife Extension.

Officials say the name changes will not go into effect till January 2008, and will further develop the brand by showing in their titles some of the life benefits of agriculture.

Faculty, students and research from all over the state was conducted to get feedback for the changes.
