PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A medical examiner has ruled that a Texas teenager killed in the Portland suburb of Milwaukie died from strangulation.
Fifteen-year-old Dani Countryman of Kaufman, Texas, was in Oregon visiting her sister, 20-year-old Ashley Countryman.
Police say the sisters went to a party at an apartment complex Friday night and ended up spending the night in separate apartments.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Detective Jim Strovink says Ashley Countryman went looking for her sister on Saturday morning and found her dead in an apartment.
No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
Strovink says homicide detectives were back at the scene yesterday collecting evidence and interviewing a "large pool of individuals."
Donald Countryman tells The Oregonian newspaper that his daughter was due to fly home Saturday.
