A Brenham man fresh out of jail is back behind bars after leading police on a high-speed chase spanning four counties.
Freddie Franklin, 27, allegedly threatened a woman then refused to stop for law enforcement Monday evening.
Franklin sent Brenham police and Department of Public Safety officials speeding through Washington, Austin, Fayette, and Colorado County at speeds topping 100 miles per hour.
Franklin was finally apprehended after wrecking his vehicle into a ditch.
He was out on bond for previous charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest stemming from a July 19 incident involving the same woman he is alleged to have threaten on Monday.
Franklin was returned back to the Washington County jail facing a number of charges including additional aggravated assault and evading arrest charges.
His bond is set at $105,000 and more charges are forthcoming.
