DALLAS (AP) - A judge has sentenced a former secretary in the Dallas Independent School District to one year in federal prison in a credit card scheme.
Gloria Grace Orapello in February pleaded guilty to one count of theft from an organization receiving federal fund.
She admitted using a school district credit card to buy about $100,000 worth of personal items.
Orapello also must repay the district.
No reporting date was immediately set for the woman, who was sentenced yesterday.
Orapello was the first district employee to acknowledge guilt in a credit card scandal first outlined in a review by the Dallas Morning News.
