A cold front will approach the Brazos Valley later today. Isolated areas of rain and thunderstorms could develop along and ahead of that front between mid-afternoon and early evening. Good news: rain & storm activity will be quick moving (1 hour or less). Bad news: a few severe thunderstorms are possible with large hail and strong, damaging winds being the main concern. A brief, isolated tornado threat cannot be ruled out, as well.
Offering some smooth sounds, some local bands and plenty of entertainment.
The Navasota Blue's Fest is back and in full swing, keeping blues music alive, and paying tribute to a local blues icon.
Getting it's humble start a little more than a decade ago, the sounds of the annual fest remain a favorite among many in the Brazos Valley, and is even put on by local citizens and businesses.
This year's festival kicks off Friday at 5 p.m., with music continuing until midnight. The festival will resume Saturday, with events going on throughout the day.
