Could the Post Oak Mall be underwater some day?
That's what a group claims could happen if the proposed Millican Reservoir is built.
Opposition continues to grow in the fight to keep the Navasota River from being dammed.
Thursday night more than 300 people filled Central Baptist Church for the Guardians of the Navasota River's second meeting.
The recently-formed organization has generated its own maps based on information from the Region H Water Planning Group which has proposed building the Millican Reservoir within 30 years.
The Guardians of the Navasota River said more land will be flooded than originally thought at their meeting Thursday.
"People didn't realize how many people are opposed to this and how far the flooding is their plans are so far off that it shows the mall underwater, it shows Sam's underwater, the Premiere, not Premiere, Cinemark Movie is underwater," said Cathy Cox, Guardians of the Navasota River Secretary.
Other concerns include all of the roads that will be cut off between Brazos and Grimes Counties.
"There are a lot of roads that are gonna be inundated with water and people won't be able to get here. There's gonna be a lot of islands, homes sitting on islands if this goes through," Cox added.
Now the Guardians are taking their message to officials at the local level and beyond.
"We want our voices to be hear loud and clear, evidently they were heard loud and clear from Madisonville and from Conroe and we're real excited that people are listening and we're just hoping they will listen with their whole heart," Cathy Cox said.
It's a fight organizers say will be a long one, but they're in for the long haul.
A public hearing has been scheduled for next week.
