A Grimes County woman faces criminal charges in Iowa after allegedly lying to police.
Alexandra Zografos was arrested in Muscatine, Iowa, and charged with making a false police report.
Zografos, 19, told investigators she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a man in Illinois.
The sheriff's office says the report has been refuted and the case is closed.
Zografos could get up to a year in jail if convicted. She may also be held financially responsible for the investigation.
