A Mobile Disaster Recovery Center (MDRC) is coming to Walker County to offer assistance to residents affected by the severe storms and flooding in the region.
Recovery specialists will be available to answer questions residents may have about the disaster aid process.
The MDRC will open in Huntsville on Friday, August 17 and operate daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through Monday, August 20.
It will be located at:
1313 University Ave.
Huntsville, TX 77340
After its service in Huntsville, the MDRC will continue visiting affected communities throughout the region.
Disaster recovery centers are a one-stop shop for affected individuals to learn more about the disaster aid process.
Individuals can meet one-on-one with disaster recovery specialists to check on the status of their application, learn about other types of aid that may be available, and receive information about how to avoid future disaster losses when repairing or rebuilding.
Customer service representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration will be on hand to answer questions and help renters, homeowners, businesses of any size, and private non-profit organizations fill out loan applications.
