Four years of work has made the Brazos Community Foundation feel like a million bucks.
The non-profit organization report they've reached $1 million in assets, this after starting in 2003 with a mere $10,000.
The foundation says they have more than 50 funds to help other non-profits and individuals.
"Through the establishment of endowment funds, the Brazos Community Foundation helps charitably-minded individuals and organizations provide for the perpetual support of the charities and causes they care about in the Brazos Valley," the company wrote in a press release.
The foundation also announced $10,000 has been made available for grants. Non-profits with 501(c) 3 status in the area are eligible for grants of up to $500, which can go towards special projects, one-time needs or innovative programs.
More information on applying for grants is available at the foundation's website. The deadline to send in proposals is September 21.
