Heavy rains this summer took their toll in Walker County and other areas along the Trinity River.
Now, the federal government is offering resources to help those residents get back on their feet.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is bringing a mobile disaster recovery center to Huntsville on Friday.
The center will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Monday, August 20, at 1313 University Avenue.
The disaster recovery center will help residents learn more about the disaster aid process.
Residents wishing to utilize their service are encouraged to first register.
You can do that by calling 1-800-621-FEMA, or online at the FEMA website.
