AUSTIN (AP) - Authorities checking on a house near Austin found four slain bodies inside.
Travis County Sheriff's spokesman Roger Wade says the deaths were ruled homicides, but the manner of death is still under investigation.
Officers responding to a welfare check last night found the bodies in the home in a Jonestown subdivision, about 15 miles northwest of Austin.
Sheriff's investigators are assisting the Jonestown Police Department in securing the area and investigating the house.
Wade didn't have information on the identities, age or gender of the dead. He says it hasn't been determined when the people died.
Authorities haven't announced any suspects.
They say a faded white 2001 model Saturn station wagon is missing from the residence. It has Texas license plates, number Y43-ZWV.
