Brenham citizens will have their chance Thursday to comment on the city's proposed tax rate.
A second public hearing will take place at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at Brenham's city hall.
The council plans to keep the tax rate at 50.63 cents per $100 valuation.
It's not an increase, but it will mean more tax revenue for the city's general fund.
Keeping the tax rate the same is expected to generate another $147,000 in revenue.
