FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A North Texas baby sitter who put two infants in a closet, including a child who later died, was sentenced to five years in prison.

Nineteen-year-old Jayne Lynn Stephans pleaded guilty to two charges of injury to a child. That's in connection with the July 2006 death of 8-month-old Brittaney Stembridge and injuries to a 10-month-old girl.

Police have said that Stephans placed the girls in bouncy seats inside a clothes-cluttered closet in her Haltom City apartment, then covered them with a blanket to help them sleep.

Brittaney died as a result of being covered and left in an unventilated closet.
