Search for Missing Cameron Man Turns Up Nothing

An extensive search in Milam County for a missing Cameron man on Friday yielded no results.

Authorities with the Milam County Sheriff's Department, Game Warden Mike Mitchell and a dive team from San Marcos searched the area near the Little River for James Mollica's truck. Mollica has been missing since July 1.

The waters proved too murky and the current was too swift for the San Marcos Area Recovery Team (S.M.A.R.T Divers) and the South Hays County Fire Department to continue their search, and it was called off late Friday evening.

Plans are tentatively set to resume the search on Monday.

Officials believe Mollica may have driven his truck into the Little River, which was swollen from heavy rains.
