ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Police say an Arlington bicyclist died after a police car struck him from behind.
Forty-three-year-old Ut Van Ly wasn't wearing a helmet, reflective gear and didn't have a rear light when he was knocked from his bike on Saturday night. The officer apparently didn't see Van Ly.
Van Ly died Sunday morning at a Fort Worth hospital, where he had been taken with head injuries.
Lieutenant Blake Miller said Officer Patrick Yeats has been placed on routine administrative leave for three days while police investigate the incident.
