A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Montgomery, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties until 7am SUNDAY. 1" to 3" of rain, with localized totals between 5" & 7" will be possible as a slow moving, weak cold front arrives through early Sunday.
In Conroe, the investigation has begun into why a toddler was dragged by a car.
It happened Monday afternoon at an apartment complex in the 800 block of Bellshire. Reports from the scene indicate a vehicle was backing up when an 18-month-old fell out.
A friend of the child s mother was reportedly driving.
Investigators say the toddler was not in a car seat nor secured with a seat belt. The girl was scraped up pretty badly and was taken via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital as a precaution.
The toddler is expected to survive.
Investigators are calling this incident an accident and no charges have been filed.
