AUSTIN (AP) - Governor Rick Perry has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff at state buildings Tuesday in observance of Patriot Day.
It's the sixth anniversary since the deadly 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Perry says September 11th will forever be regarded as a day that changed America.
His directive applies to all U.S. and Texas flags under the control of the state.
Perry's office says people across Texas are encouraged to fly their flags at half-staff today.
