A four-vehicle accident in Robertson County has claimed the life of a Rio Grande City man.
The Department of Public Safety says the accident happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday on South Highway 7 near Marquez.
DPS says Levi McFadden, 18, of Buffalo, lost control of his pick-up, veered into on-coming traffic and struck another vehicle almost head on.
That vehicle was driven by Candelario Lopez, 57, of Rio Grande City.
The first crash sparked a chain reaction, causing two other vehicles to collide with McFadden's pick-up.
Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Six other people were involved in the crash:
Mario Lopez, 58, of Rio Grande City and Gerardo Garcia, 42, of Rio Grande City were taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
Ruperto Ruvalcaba, 48, of Rio Grande City was taken to Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck.
