A conspirator in one of the largest murder for hire plots to rock the Brazos Valley will not get a new trial.
Chad Davis was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the 2005 shooting death of Bryan resident Tommy Andrade. He requested a new trial because he claims there is new evidence, and says he did not have an effective attorney.
Davis said Boris Mogilevich, a hired hitmen who shot and killed Andrade, was still on the run and was not able to testify in Davis' trial. However, Thursday Mogilevich testified against Davis.
Since the motion was denied, Davis' case will now go to the 10th Court of Appeals.
