Department of Public Safety investigators are still trying to identify a motorist who was badly injured in a Friday morning wreck near Millican. Shortly after 8 a.m., the driver travelling on FM 2154 veered off the road and hit a tree. The impact ejected him from the vehicle. The victim was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan before being air-lifted to Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
During this time, authorities were unable to get any information from the victim. In an effort to identify him, they ran a trace on the vehicle's owner. It came back belonging to a Texas A&M student. After failing to locate the student, investigators contacted the student's parents who were driving to Temple to confirm whether the injured driver is their son.
