A local ER doctor is back home, from Iraq, but more importantly, two little girls have their daddy again.
Major Brandon Lewis, with the Texas Air National Guard and emergency room doctor with St. Joseph Regional Health Center, has been in Iraq all summer. The former Texas A&M student returned to College Station Saturday night and was greeted by quite the crowd at Easterwood Airport.
Lewis says, "I joined the military because I felt that it's important that we all support our country. So many people have given their lives and made sacrifices in the past for us to have the blessings that we have. So that's something I felt was important to do, give back to my country."
Lewis is back home with his wife, Rebecca, and their two young daughters.
