SPRING BRANCH, Texas (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy who was pulled from a vehicle that had rolled into the Guadalupe River.
Police say it's unclear why Cole Ryan Ewald was left unattended Saturday morning or how the car he was in rolled and became submerged. Rescuers didn't reach the child until about an hour after the car went into the water.
Swift water initially hampered the rescue efforts. The toddler's parents were at the scene.
