With the final Brazos Valley Bucket List upon us, I thought long and hard about some of the must see and do things around Texas A&M. It didn't take long before narrowing it down to not one, not two, but three things you have to do in College Station.
The first thing on this list has to be watching an Aggie football game at Kyle Field. It's the one thing Aggies and Longhorns can agree on. The atmosphere at Kyle Field is one of the best in college football. The traditions and excitement of the Aggies makes taking in a game at Kyle Field the most obvious item on any bucket list.
We have to add a visit to the George Bush Library on our Brazos Valley Bucket List.
"I think the whole museum is just fabulous," said Fran Wallace who took her grandson to the museum. Wallace is visiting from Pittsburgh Texas.
"It's really a piece of history out of that area and I just really enjoy it," said Wallace.
Robin Rodriguez has high hopes after seeing her son David sit at the president's desk, and David already has what it takes to be in politics.
"It would be really good to see him at the presidential desk and me standing right there beside him as an advisor. Right David," said Robin.
"Right," said David with smile.
And to close things out, you have to stop at the Dixie Chicken on Northgate, to play a little 42.
When the Chicken opened in 1974, Waylon and Willie were all the rage. However, back then, TV's didn't dominate the conversations, dominos did.
"They just decided, hey people need something to do, they can't just sit here so they bought some domino's, some tables, and the rest is history," said Katy Jackson, co-owner of the Dixie Chicken.
The fad has become so big that Dixie Chicken even has its own brand of bones.
"We also sell Dixie Chicken dominos. It's just one of those things that caught on," said Jackson.
Taking in an Aggie Game at Kyle Field, a stop at the George Bush Library and Museum, and a game of 42 at the Dixie Chicken.
The final three stops on our 2010 Brazos Valley Bucket List.

Hey concered....your wrong and obviously commenting from a position of ignorance. Go away and learn to spell. Actually, your poorly informed comments are hilarious....please provide more.
The atmosphere doesn't win football games! A&M doesn't have a football program. They have a fraternity at best. Johnson is a wanna be QB at best, receivers couldn't catch a cold, running backs that can run but no O line. NO SECONDARY at all. The safety and DB positions couldn't defend against our local high school players! Coaches who care about their players but not about winning or teaching team work. The regents need to stay out of football! Over priced tickets, over priced food and drink and for what? Oh that's right you won an SWC title in the 80's, good job. What have you done lately? Nothing is exactly right. Even their practices are painful to watch. At least it's free to see. I wonder if Mac Brown and Bob Stoops could come put on several coaching clinics for our coaches on how to produce BIG 12 Titles.
finally. It's over. Now, please get back to reporting news, especially national subjects that will affect our lives.
