A Walmart in Conroe is shut down after police say a man shot himself inside the store.

Just before 4:30 p.m., police say they received a call that a shooting had taken place inside the Conroe Walmart on North Loop 336. When they arrived they found a male, approximately 35-years-old, shot one time. The shooting took place close to the pharmacy area on the north side of the store.

The male died at the scene. It has been determined that the shot was self-inflicted.

Nobody else was injured and there were no threats made on anyone.

It is believed his wife was an employee at the store.

As Conroe Police investigate Walmart has made the decision to close the store. At this time police are monitoring the exits as people leave the store.
