TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY - Texas A&M System Chancellor John Sharp is questioning the validity of ESPN and other media for stories about A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel violating NCAA rules by accepting money for autographs.
That's according to an email obtained by the Austin American- Statesman that says Sharp sent out an email to local businessmen and former students criticizing those "(who) have chosen to declare # 2 guilty with no evidence whatsoever."
He also questions the credibility of some of the listed sources from E-S-P-N. Sharp emphasized his views were his personal feelings and not the University's. Texas A&M has hired a law firm during the reported NCAA investigation.
