A group of high school students from College Station is honoring the fallen and injured Bryan firefighters from the Knights of Columbus fire by hosting a blood drive.
Wednesday Health Occupation Students of America members at A&M Consolidated High School held their annual blood drive and this year the students decided to dedicate their efforts to Lieutenants Greg Pickard, Eric Wallace, and injured firefighters Ricky Mantey, Jr. and Mitch Moran - each injured during the fire which broke out Friday, February 15th on Groesbeck St.
Organizers say the blood collected is staying in the Brazos Valley and will go to supplying the St. Joseph Health System.
The drive will continue on Thursday February 28th from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Interested donors can register by visiting www.redcrossblood.org and using the sponsor code "tiger".
