BRYAN - The school year is ending on a great note for one A&M Consolidated High School teacher. Saturday night, Bart Taylor was awarded a $10,000 check for himself and a $10,000 grant for his school as a winner of the leadership category for the 2014 Excellence in Education award.

Taylor teaches IT Technology and has been with the district for all 14 years of his career.

In April, HEB surprised him with a $1,000 check letting him know he was finalist.

After Taylor received his first check, he said he was going to use the money for a little vacation. Now, he can take an even better trip.
