The Cotton Bowl party is hitting its fever pitch as Aggie fans and LSU fans get ready for kickoff here in Arlington.
With fans and alumni from both teams sharing space in the Cowboys Stadium parking lot, the tailgating area turned into a sea of white and maroon and purple and gold.
"It's exciting! Fans are here and everybody is getting riled up. The food is good , the drinks are even better, and the football is going to be great," said Aggie Lisa Theut.
With fans from both teams in such close proximity, LSU fans have tried to get under the skin Aggies fans but it's not working.
"No. None. Not at all. We haven't even smack talked them. We've been waiting on something so we can have a little fun with them" joked Tiger fan Brendan Spregue
You see, A&M fans are too busy celebrating their first trip to the Cotton Bowl since 2005.
But college friends Jacob Schmotz and Kyle Bork have a big dilemma.
"We both went to A&M for our graduate degree but Jacob got his undergrad at LSU. But it's our year this year," said Bork.
