BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) Authorities have asked for the public's help in determining what led to the death of a Louisiana man whose body was found in a Southeast Texas river.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on Thursday announced the body has been identified as 34-year-old Jose Guadaloupe Perez Campos of Calcasieu Parish.

A fisherman on May 16 noticed the body in the Neches River. Divers helped recover the body.

Final autopsy results are pending.
