A pair of accidents along Highway 21 have reduced traffic.
One was near FM 50 close to Caldwell, where an 18-wheeler and pickup truck collided. The pickup was going east, according to authorities, when it's believed have had to swerve to avoid another vehicle that failed to yield the right of way to highway traffic.
The pickup rear ended the big rig as a result. There were no injuries.
The other was on Hwy 21 at Thompson Creek, where one vehicle went into the creek. According to the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, the driver fell asleep behind the wheel and drifted off the road.
The driver was taken to a hospital with bumps, bruises and some cuts.
One lane of traffic was closed at each accident. All lanes of Highway 21 are back open as of Friday afternoon.
