A fourth conviction on driving while intoxicated charges has landed a Bryan man a 30-year prison sentence.
Michael McGruder was sentenced Friday by Judge J.D. Langley.
County court documents show McGruder, 49, was last arrested on a DWI charge in September 2011.
According to the Brazos County District Attorney's Office, McGruder was stopped by authorities after a report of a suspicious person at a local apartment complex. He refused to perform tests asked of him by officers, but a blood sample was taken because of his prior record. Those tests showed he was over the legal limit.
Brazos County records show McGruder has been arrested 40 times in Brazos County since 1987. The DA's office says he had 19 prior convictions, five of which were felonies and three of which were DWIs.
