For the 44th year, fans of sci-fi, fantasy, gaming and more are getting together in Aggieland.
The man whose novels were the basis for the popular "Game of Thrones" HBO series joined them at AggieCon at the College Station Hilton.
A talk by George R.R. Martin was one of the highlights Saturday, along with a variety of other speakers, activities and interactive events.
Cepheid Variable, a Texas A&M student organization founded in 1969, puts on the event each year. The group promotes and supports "all things science fiction, fantasy, horror, science, and technology, and the support of the community that grows around them through an atmosphere of acceptance and kinship," according to its website.
The latest edition of AggieCon got started Friday, and there's more on tap Sunday. Click here or on the link below for more information on the event.
