Employees at Aggieland Outfitters removed the aluminum steer with sawed off horns from their parking lot along George Bush Drive Saturday to celebrate A&M’s move to the Southeastern Conference.
“It’s an effort to move forward with the university, as well as focus the store’s attention on its passion for Texas A&M University, rather than a rivalry with just one school,” said Dallas Shipp, Aggieland Outfitters Director of Marketing.
Shipp said the “Saw’em Off” murals on the side of the store’s two locations will be painted over.
“Saw’em Off” t-shirts will still be available at both locations.
