Aggies Season Opener vs Rice Set for Noon Kick on ESPN

BIRMINGHAM, AL—Texas A&M will open the 2013 collegiate football season on ESPN against Rice as the Southeastern Conference Office announced the television selections for the first three weeks of the 2013 football regular season.

The Aggies and the Owls will kick off at noon central on Saturday, Aug. 31 from Kyle Field.

The following week, the Sept. 7 Texas A&M contest against Sam Houston State will be a pay-per-view telecast with kick slated for 6 p.m. central. Additional details regarding the broadcast will be forthcoming.

The CBS network cameras will televise the Sept. 14 football game against Alabama with kick off scheduled for 2:30 p.m. central. This will mark the first CBS telecast from Kyle Field since the 1989 season.

Game times and broadcast partners for the remainder of the 2013 season will be announced by the conference office on either a 12-day or a six-day advance notice.
