*Update*

A 24 year-old woman convicted of driving drunk and slamming into a local police officer's squad car is heading to prison.
Alex Ford has been out on an appeals bond since May 2011 when she was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

We were the only television station inside the courtroom.

For the first time in the 85th district courtroom, Tracy Sheets is all smiles as she hugs family, friends and her co-workers from the College Station Police Department.
But, the hearing wasn't about Tracy, it was about 24 year-old Alex Ford.
A Brazos County jury convicted her of intoxication assault against a peace officer for driving drunk and crashing head on into Sheets' police cruiser in January 2010.

Brazos County Assistant District, Brian Baker, said, "Judge, we're asking that you revoke her bond."

Judge J.D. Langley asked, "And then what?"

Baker replied, "And then send her to prison."

Ford has been out on an appeal bond since receiving a six year prison sentence in May 2011.
She was back in court for breaking her bond conditions when she went to a bar, broke curfew and drank alcohol.

"She displayed monumentally bad sense New Year's on multiple levels and we make no excuse," said Ford's new attorney, Brian Wice.
He asked Judge Langley to send her to jail for 90 days and set a new bond instead of denying bond altogether, but Alex Ford didn't help her case.

Judge Langley said, "In this situation, I just don't believe that you, will follow my orders."

Ford interjected, "I don't either."

Judge Langley responded, "I know...The bond is revoked and you're remanded into the custody of the sheriff."

In 90 days, Ford's attorney is going to ask the judge to reconsider today's decision.

Tracy Sheets recently had another surgery and is still rehabilitating her injured leg.
She's no longer in a wheel chair and hopes to be out of her walking cast in the next few months, but she won't ever be able to serve as a patrol officer again.

Alex Ford is now serving her sentence in the Brazos County Jail after having her appeal bond revoked this afternoon.

You'll remember the 24 year old was sentenced to six years in prison for driving drunk and crashing head on into College Station Police Officer, Tracy Sheets in January 2010.
Sheets is still rehabilitating her leg and will not be able to serve as a patrol officer ever again.
Ford was in court today because the state alleged she broke several conditions of her appeal bond by going to a bar and drinking alcohol on New Year's Eve.
Her new defense attorney plans on asking Judge Langley to reconsider today's decision in 90 days.
