COLLEGE STATION - An alleged drunk driver was arrested Monday after crashing into a light pole in College Station.
It happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Longmire Drive.
Two intersections along Longmire between Rock Prairie and Deacon were shut down following the accident.
Police say the vehicle was headed north on Longmire when it left the road, veered to the right, went over a curb, down the sidewalk, and struck the light pole at Longmire and Ponderosa.
The impact of the crash caused part of the light pole to fall onto a unoccupied delivery truck parked by the pole.
20 year old Eric Percoski of College Station was the man behind the wheel.
He refused treatment at the scene and was arrested for drunk driving.
