The Superintendent of the Anderson-Shiro school district is named the lone finalist for the top position in Alvin ISD.
Superintendent Fred Brent has been at the helm of Anderson-Shiro for nearly five years and has improved the district during his tenure to an exemplary status.
While he hasn't officially resigned from the district yet, he's expected to take the job in Alvin which will be quite a jump in district size.
Anderson-Shiro has around 750 students while Alvin has about 17,000.
We're told a search has not begun yet for a new superintendent but, Anderson-Shiro High School Principal Brandon Core will be named interim superintendent.
