ALLEN - Kyler Murray, ranked the 2015 number one high school quarterback in the country, verbally committed to play football at Texas A&M Wednesday afternoon.
The junior quarterback out of Allen High School is the son of former Texas A&M quarterback Kevin Murray and was named the 2013 Texas Gatorade Player of the year.
Murray has lead the Eagles to back to back UIL Class 5A Division 1 state championships heading into his senior season.
He threw for 3,669 yards while rushing for 1,274 yards.
Kyler is rated as the number 1 high school quarterback by ESPN 300 and picked the Aggies over the Oregon Ducks.
Verbal commitments are non-binding. National Signing Day is February 4th.
