BRYAN - Police are searching for a suspect in an attempted armed robbery of a store in Bryan.
According to BPD, the suspect was at the Woody's Gags and Gifts, located at 1230 South College Avenue, in the 11:00 p.m. hour Tuesday and had a shotgun.
An employee at the store told News 3 no one was injured.
The description provided was of a Hispanic male with a white T-shirt and a black cloth covering his face. According to police, the suspect fled on foot, but did not take any items or money.
"Supposedly an unknown Hispanic male entered the business. He was carrying a shotgun and he was masked and as he entered the business and the clerk observed him, confronted him, he turned and ran out of the business. There was no loss to the business and no one was injured during the attempted robbery," said Sgt. Brett Boswell with the Bryan Police Department.
The store closed for the evening as a result of the incident.
