BRYAN -- An arrest has been made relating to the June 10th attempted robbery at Woody's Smoke Shop in Bryan.
According to police a male walked into the Woody’s Smoke Shop, at 1230 South College Ave in Bryan, with a shotgun. As he approached a female clerk he turned and left the store. Nothing was taken and no one was injured during the incident.
On June 27, 2014 a warrant was served on Eduardo Vidot-Colon for Aggravated Robbery which is a 1st degree felony (5 -99 years) and Felon in possession of a firearm which is a 3rd degree felony (2 – 10 years).
During Vidot-Colon's interview with police he is reported as saying he was "high" on drugs and his intent was to rob the store for cash and "anything else he could get". He went on to say once he was inside the store his conscience and thoughts of his son made him realize what he was doing was wrong and he left.
According to the police's probable cause statement; Vidot-Colon's criminal history revealed that he has been convicted of multiple felonies. The most recent conviction was for the Burglary of a Building in which he was sentenced to State Jail out of Bell County. He was released back in July of 2011.
