Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, across the Brazos Valley, this afternoon and evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of a local car dealership general manager.
San Antonio Police took Kacey Gene Rhodes, 24, into custody Wednesday night. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Rhodes has since been released on $50,000 bond, according to public records.
Police say witnesses identified Rhodes as the shooter in a photo line up.
Mike Vivaldi was shot early Monday morning in the parking lot of a San Antonio gentlemen's club. According to a preliminary police report, Vivaldi was with two other friends. That group was part of a confrontation, allegedly with Rhodes, who eventually pulled a gun on the group and shot Vivaldi.
At last check, Vivaldi was in stable condition at San Antonio Military Medical Center. He is the general manager at Team Ford of Navasota.
A second suspect -- a woman who was allegedly with Rhodes -- was noted in the SAPD report.
