An 11-year-old girl who authorities say was abducted by her mother Monday has been found safe, according to the Trinity County Sheriff's Office.

An Amber Alert was issued late Monday in North Texas for Savannah Hurley, who was taken when Child Protective Services came to remove her from her mother's custody.

The mother, Shelly Jean Hurley, had a violent confrontation with a CPS worker at about 1 p.m. Monday and is a known drug user, according to authorities. She allegedly threatened to run over the worker with her car while fleeing with the child.

The two were originally reported to be traveling in a white 2006 Ford F-150 single cab with the Texas license plate 58NZM4. Authorities found the vehicle in Trinity County and started to search for a white 1996 Subaru Legacy. The Subaru was then located in the City of Mesquite, but neither the mom nor her daughter were located.

Savannah's grandmother was taken into custody and charged with interference during the investigation.

The child has since been found.
