One year ago Chef Tai Lee tried something never done here in B/CS.

A mobile bistro with food fine enough to be from a fancy restaurant.

Now his well-made meals on wheels could become a whole lot more popular.

"It will be awesome to represent a small town like this with a nation wide spot light," said Chef Tai.

Chef Tai's Mobile Bistro is currently under consideration for the Food Network reality show "The Great Food Truck Race." The only catch is he has to end up being the top vote getter on the website dedicated to the show.

"I'm hoping to get some Aggies and local residents behind me to support me in this cause," said Chef Tai.

"We have good food around, but it's nice to have something different. This is very different from what the normal franchise restaurants offer," said Bryan resident Vana Stiller.

Stiller has been visiting the food truck since it started and she votes for Chef Tai each and everyday.

"All 10 votes every day for Chef Tai," said Stiller about her 10 daily allotted votes.

Just a few days into the competition, things didn't start cooking for the B/CS bistro right off the bat.

"When we started on the first day, we were ranked 190th. I was like great, I knew this was going to happen," said Chef Tai.

But thanks to a little word of mouth, Chef Tai's Mobile Bistro is currently ranked in the top 10 in the nationwide pole.

"That's been racking up some votes and I've been very blessed and humbled to see people getting behind me on this thing," said Chef Tai.

A chance to show the world that B/CS is much more than just burgers and BBQ.

We have a link to the vote on the Food Network website below. You can vote up to 10 times each day and one lucky winner will even win a trip to New York City.

The show is family friendly - My children down to age 8 enjoy it. I have no idea about samples, but you can ask Chef Tai. I think it would be easier to get samples from Chef Tai than from the trucks in other places, because he is the only one located here in the contest. Send him an email and ask!

Not a big fan of reality shows. The promo's I see during commercials just show a lot of bad behavior and poor communication skills. Will the show be family friendly? Do they have samples? Are the prices family friendly? Y'all are kind of asking us to vote for him and not enough information.

Does the word MOBIL tell you anything? It's mobil...not in the same location everyday....that's the concept.
