BRYAN, Texas The Bryan ISD Education Foundation is getting a boost in funding from the City of Bryan.
The BISD Education Foundation is being recognized at the start of the Bryan City Council meeting Tuesday at 6 P.M. with some new funds from the district and a proclamation from Mayor Jason Bienski.
The foundation supports the school district with additional funds and resources district wide and also provides extra money for things the regular school budget might not be able to cover.
"We've got BISD Education Foundation that are coming in. They are in the process of raising some funds and we're going to support them from, personally from bringing them in to honor what they do and promote a lot of what they do for our community and for BISD," said Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski.
The Foundation was formed in 1999.
