BRYAN - Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) customers can now track power outages online.
The new tool allows you to zoom in to the outage area, determine when it started, what streets are affected, as well as how many customers are affected.
"This is an excellent resource that gives customers the information that they need during an outage situation," said David Werley, BTU Group Manager.
"Customers no longer have to call BTU to let us know that their power is out. The map should give customers comfort that we already know and provide some feedback on status. This frees up BTU resources to restore power as quickly and safely as possible."
The outage map can be viewed at outages.btutilities.com. It is similar to the system used by College Station Utilities.
